BioPorto Diagnostics A/S (formerly Antibody Shop) is an expanding biotechnology company located in Gentofte (Copenhagen), Denmark. The company is focused on developing a unique portfolio of diagnostic tests for the critically ill patient.

Diagnostic tests launched to date are:

• NGAL ELISA Kit - early marker for renal injury. NGAL is a small protein found in neutrophils and certain epithelia, such as renal tubules, where its expression is dramatically increased in ischemic or nephrotoxic injury. NGAL levels rise in urine and blood within 2 hours of renal injury making NGAL the earliest, most sensitive and non-invasive biomarker for acute kidney injury available.

• MBL ELISA Kit - immature or suppressed adaptive immune system. MBL (Mannan-binding lectin) is a key test in the assessment of primary immunodeficiency. MBL is an important diagnostic test in determining the functionality of a patientīs immune system. MBL deficiency is associated with increased susceptibility to infection. With more than 12% of the average population being MBL deficient, MBL is a key test parameter in numerous clinical indications.
